Job summary

HED seeks an experienced Project Manager focused on Higher Education and Science & Technology sectors. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedules and budgets from planning through construction, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will coordinate with owners, consultants, and authorities, ensuring quality and timely delivery on complex healthcare and academic projects while mentoring and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or interior design required.
• Professional licensure required.
• Minimum 8 years post-graduate professional experience in the A/E industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an A/E or Client-Side Project Manager with financial/risk management responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare project experience.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional A/E services from marketing through design, construction and close-out.
• Strong coordination of design disciplines.
• Business acumen, leadership, teamwork, mentoring, and deadline-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal-in-Charge in the professional services proposal process, marketing efforts and owner agreement negotiations.
• Prepare contract forms for owners and consultants; monitor adherence and fees outside the Owner Agreement.
• Prepare, implement, and monitor project plans and strategies.
• Lead multi-disciplinary A/E teams through all project phases and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Manage overall project schedule and develop short-term milestones.
• Establish discipline hour budgets and staffing to meet profit goals.
• Guide and monitor adherence to the HED Project Design Process and quality standards.
• Interact with Operations Leaders and Business Leaders on metrics and strategic goals.
• Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.
