Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control cabinets and electro-mechanical components. You will ensure designs meet system and quality requirements and collaborate with manufacturing to resolve issues.

You will report to the Manager, Common Q and CE Safety Systems & Safety & Reactor Systems Engineering, with hybrid work at Windsor, CT or Warrendale, PA facilities. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
• Awareness of field devices and control devices in power industry.
• Awareness of industry standard drawings: schematics, cabinet drawings, panel layouts.
• Experience in AutoCAD/3D Modeling software.
• Team-focused with cross-functional collaboration.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Issue drawings, BOMs and technical specifications for I&C Safety System products.
• Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing.
• Develop engineered solutions and part change evaluations to address obsolescence issues.
• Interface with suppliers and/or manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution.
• Assist in development of equipment qualification tests and review final reports.
• Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations.
• Perform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis.
• Execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
