Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Planning Specialist to act as the single point of contact for identifying, prioritizing, and assigning projects to the appropriate department. You will also check, track, and follow up on spreadsheets related to program work to help power our planet and reduce emissions.

This hybrid role requires coordinating across teams, performing field inspections, and managing multiple projects within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission/Telecommunication Design or related Engineering discipline.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares construction plans, drawings, and circuit maps; designs electrical distribution plans, identifies resources, provides cost estimates, and ensures compliance with standards.
• Interacts with a diverse customer base to meet electrical design needs and deliver outcomes for customers and SCE on projects.
• Manages multiple projects with project management principles, tracking timelines and budgets, mitigating risks, and resolving escalations.
• Performs field inspections to collect data for planning and development review and verify compliance with approved plans.
