Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Formulation Scientist for a hybrid role with our client in Welkom, South Africa. Join a leading pharmaceutical innovator to design, develop, and optimize dosage forms while blending lab-scale research with remote data analysis.

You will work across tablets, capsules, injectables, and topicals, perform pre-formulation and screening studies, run stability tests, and apply analytical techniques to drive shelf-life and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong scientific foundation in pharmaceutics.
• Hands-on experience with formulation techniques.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize novel pharmaceutical formulations for various dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables, topical preparations).
• Conduct pre-formulation studies to characterize drug substances and excipients.
• Perform screening studies to identify suitable excipients and optimize formulation composition.
• Execute stability studies and analyze data to assess product shelf-life and performance.
• Utilize a range of analytical techniques (e.g., dissolution testing, particle size analysis, DSC) to characterize formulations.
• Scale-up laboratory formulations to pilot batch sizes and support technology.
