Placements24 is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist for its Welkom Quality Control team. The role blends on-site laboratory work with remote duties to oversee product quality.

You will develop, validate, and implement analytical methods across materials and products, ensuring purity, potency, and safety. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in analytical chemistry within regulated settings, and robust experience with HPLC, GC, MS, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy, plus GMP/ISO knowledge and strong

Qualifikationen

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry in a regulated environment.
• Experience with method development, validation and transfer.

Aufgaben

• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using HPLC, GC, MS, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Perform routine testing to ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Investigate deviations and OOS results with thorough documentation.
• Author and review SOPs, validation protocols, and analytical reports.
• Operate and maintain instrumentation with calibration and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D for new product introductions and process changes.
• Train and mentor junior chemists and technicians.
• Ensure GMP/ISO compliance; participate in internal and external audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in Quality Control.
