Job summary

DGA Careers is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to join a Richmond, BC team. The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, review coverages, and provide tailored insurance solutions with a client-first approach.

Experience in Commercial Lines is an asset and may lead to cross-functional growth. Hybrid work arrangements are possible, and compensation reflects experience within a Canadian brokerage environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Insurance Licence is required.
• Minimum 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Personal Lines products and markets.
• Experience with renewals, policy servicing, and client management.
• Familiarity with brokerage management systems (BMS) and insurer portals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of Personal Lines clients.
• Review client coverages and recommend suitable options.
• Prepare insurance proposals and coverage solutions.
• Process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes.
• Negotiate renewals with carriers and secure competitive options.
• Underwrite new and renewal business per guidelines.
• Complete policy binding, invoicing, and documentation.
• Build lasting client relationships through proactive service.
• Identify opportunities for growth, referrals, and new business.
• Potentially assist with Commercial Lines responsibilities.
