Job summary

BRMi is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to lead end-to-end performance testing with QA leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability targets before production.

The role is hands-on, designing and executing tests, identifying bottlenecks, and driving optimization of testing frameworks. Hybrid in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA; in-person interviews are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software testing with emphasis on performance engineering.
• Experience designing and executing performance testing strategies (load, stress, endurance).
• Ability to model workloads and define baselines and SLAs in production-like environments.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify bottlenecks across systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test plans and scripts.
• Perform load, stress, endurance, and capacity testing to validate production readiness.
• Build and maintain automated performance testing solutions using NeoLoad or similar tools.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Utilize monitoring tools to evaluate performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Define baselines and SLAs in production-like environments.
• Document and report performance defects; coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to testing strategy improvements.
