Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an SDET with expertise in disaster recovery and performance testing in the United States. You will design and execute robust performance strategies, lead DR and multi-region resilience testing, and build automated frameworks that plug into CI/CD pipelines.

You will validate RTO/RPO objectives, analyze performance data, and collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps to ensure capacity planning and operational resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in performance engineering/testing.
• 5+ years in DR/multi-region failover testing.
• Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, scalability, and failover testing strategies.
• Lead disaster recovery and multi-region resilience testing.
• Develop and maintain automated performance testing frameworks.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate RTO/RPO objectives, SLAs, and data integrity during failover scenarios.
• Analyze system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams on capacity planning and operational resilience.
• Leverage observability tools to correlate test results with production telemetry.
• Document test results, compliance evidence, and performance benchmarks.
• Mentor engineering teams on performance and resilience testing best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in performance engineering and testing.
• 5+ years of experience with disaster recovery (DR) and multi-region failover testing.
• Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, and/or Gatling.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, capital markets, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• AWS or performance engineering certification.
• Experience with SRE practices, API testing, and cloud-native architectures.

Salary Range: $100k-200k (multiple openings available)
