Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Pediatric Development Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team in Rustenburg. The role focuses on assessing and supporting developmental needs of children, providing expert guidance to families and educators, and creating personalized intervention plans.

The successful candidate will combine in-person assessments with remote support, facilitate workshops, and stay current with research.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Pediatric Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working directly with children with developmental concerns.
• Proficiency in conducting standardized developmental assessments and interpreting results.
• Experience with both in-person and remote intervention strategies.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Valid professional registration or certification in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments for children from birth to school age.
• Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
• Provide direct therapeutic services and support to children and their families, both in-person and virtually.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to child development.
• Deliver workshops and training sessions for parents and professionals on various aspects of pediatric development.
• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric development and intervention strategies.
