Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Child Development Specialist to join our Welkom team, blending on-site and remote work to support children's growth and development. You will assess developmental milestones, identify delays, and guide families and educators with evidence-based strategies.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, at least 3 years of experience, and strong skills in assessment tools, report writing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and families.
• Proficiency with various child assessment tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of child psychology and milestones from infancy through early childhood.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments of children to identify strengths and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings.
• Provide consultation and training to parents, caregivers, and educators on child development topics.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, therapists, and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress reports accurately and timely.
• Stay current with research and best practices in child development and early intervention.
