Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, in partnership with a client in Peachtree Corners, is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist for a permanent, hybrid role in the Atlanta metro area.

You will address payroll tax notices, work with state tax agencies, and prepare quarterly and annual tax filings, ensuring accurate payroll tax data. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of multi-state payroll tax experience and strong Excel skills; ADP Smart Compliance is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of multi-state payroll tax experience.
• ADP Smart Compliance experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and PivotTables.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Efficient organizational skills with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve payroll tax notices promptly.
• Work closely with state tax agencies.
• Support payroll with employment tax research, employee tax inquiries, and required adjustments.
• Audit and reconcile payroll tax data.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual taxes.
• File amended returns.
