Pacific Staffing is partnering with our Rocklin CA based client to identify a detail-driven Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee support within a fast-paced, mission-focused organization.

This full-time role is ideal for a highly organized professional with HRIS experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of payroll administration experience.
• Experience coordinating employee benefits is a plus.
• Strong understanding of federal and state payroll tax laws.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Office suite.
• Experience with UKG Ready or similar HRIS/timekeeping systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Calculate, process, and audit payroll and benefits in the HRIS.
• Manage changes to salaries, benefits, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and taxes.
• Audit and correct employee timesheets; address missing or inaccurate entries.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll and benefits questions.
• Process new hires, terminations, life-change events, and pay-rate updates.
• Prepare payroll tax deposits and post payroll journal entries.
• Reconcile monthly insurance invoices with payroll records.
• Prepare off-cycle payroll checks for terminations.
• Present payroll and benefits information during New Employee Orientation.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support additional administrative and payroll tasks as needed.
