Notion is seeking a Payroll Analyst on our Accounting team to own U.S. payroll processing, reconcile pay cycles, and administer Workday Time Tracking.

Based in San Francisco or New York City, this hybrid role collaborates with People Ops, Benefits, and external payroll partners to ensure accurate, on-time payroll and compliant reporting. You will handle off-cycle payrolls, benefits deductions, payroll taxes, and journal entries, driving workflow improvements and delivering excellent employee

Qualifications

• 4+ years of U.S. payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax and labor laws.
• Experience with modern payroll systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile U.S. payrolls including regular, quarterly, and off-cycle runs.
• Administer Workday Time Tracking and manage taxes, garnishments, and benefits.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and respond to employee inquiries; improve workflows.
