Job summary

Confluence Theater of Pittsburgh is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance & Administration team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position supports day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, benefits administration, and related accounting processes.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days onsite in Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• Two years of relevant professional experience in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, or HR administration preferred.
• Experience processing a high volume of accounts payable transactions.
• Experience processing electronic payroll is required.
• Experience processing payroll in a union environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable including vendor data, approvals, payments, and 1099 preparation.
• Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll and administer FSAs; handle union deductions and payroll journal entries.
• Support HR with new-hire paperwork and benefits enrollments in the HRIS/payroll system.
• Reconcile corporate card programs and record in the General Ledger.
• Assist with ACA reporting and year-end close, audits, budgeting, and internal/external reporting.
