Job summary

The Minnesota Veterans Home – Minneapolis is seeking an Accounting Technician to manage payroll related transactions, expense processing, and timekeeping edits using EST. You will audit financial reports and support department tasks in a finance-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of clerical or technical accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP to analyze and prepare financial information.
• Knowledge of SWIFT or similar accounting system for reports and budgets.
• Knowledge of SEMA4 payroll system for processing payroll and reimbursements.
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong math skills to balance accounts and reconcile data.
• Ability to design work procedures and explain fiscal policies.
• Good communication skills for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll related transactions and employee expense documents.
• Review timekeeping and scheduling software (EST) entries and edit as needed.
• Audit finance reports and present findings.
• Support budgeting, spending plans and financial status reporting.
