Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to support money transfer and payment processing platforms. The role emphasizes hands-on work with ACI MTS and UPF in an AIX/UNIX/Linux environment, with focus on releases and platform support.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (three days onsite) and requires strong collaboration with operations, analysts, and other engineers to maintain secure, compliant systems and timely deployments for wire-transfer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with ACI MTS on AIX/UNIX.
• Hands-on experience supporting ACI MTS and UPF.
• Strong experience in AIX, UNIX, and Linux environments.
• Experience managing software/code releases across environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-server environments.
• Experience working with production technology operations teams.
• Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain ACI MTS and UPF platforms.
• Coordinate code releases across environments.
• Execute 4–6 major releases per year.
• Support servers in AIX, UNIX, and Linux environments.
• Maintain in-house transformation layers around platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues with operations teams for wire transfers.
• Address vulnerabilities to keep systems secure and compliant.
• Collaborate with analysts, other engineers, and managed-service resources.
• Share knowledge with teammates.
