Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Westwood, MA is seeking a Temporary Customer Service & Patient Collections Associate to join a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare organization. Hybrid role: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote, compensation $25.50 per hour, duration at least one year with potential for conversion.

You will handle patient billing support, payment collections, insurance verification, and patient inquiries while ensuring HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service, patient services, medical billing, collections, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Experience handling billing inquiries, payment collection activities, or insurance-related customer service strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex billing information clearly and professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high-volume workloads while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Experience with healthcare billing systems, insurance verification, or medical office operations preferred.
• Experience with Epic is a plus.
• High school diploma required.

Responsabilités

• Respond to a high volume of patient inquiries by phone, mail, and electronic messaging regarding billing, payments, and account questions.
• Research and resolve billing issues by working with patients, insurance carriers, and third-party payers.
• Collect outstanding balances and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits using payer websites and other available tools.
• Review and resolve claim denials, coordination of benefits issues, secondary billing inquiries, and other insurance-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and account records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
