Job summary

Charles River Community Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to manage charge review, payment posting, denials, and AR via Epic Revenue Cycle workqueues in a hybrid schedule (4 days on-site, some remote days at managerial discretion).

The role emphasizes accurate posting, denial resolution, and payer communication, with a focus on compliant, timely billing and exceptional patient service within a community health setting.

Qualifications

• Three years of medical billing experience, preferably in a multi-service FQHC environment.
• Understanding of the third party billing cycle and payer reimbursement rules.
• Experience with denial management, payment posting, charge reconciliation, and AR follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile 835 files, reimbursements, EOBs, cash receipts and other payer transactions.
• Monitor AR, follow up on denials, appeals, rebilling and related actions.
• Work assigned claims through Epic Revenue Cycle workqueues.
• Review and resolve claim edits, billing exceptions, and reimbursement discrepancies.
• Process overpayments, refunds, and payer adjustments following guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with providers to correct service/diagnosis codes for billing.
