Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Account Representative – Self Pay to join our San Antonio office. You will manage patient and insurer communications, verify information, and resolve account discrepancies within established policies.

The role emphasizes inbound calls, accuracy in billing, and strong customer service. Effective bilingual Spanish communication is required, and the schedule is Monday–Friday with a standard 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant experience acceptable in lieu.
• 0–2 years in healthcare, insurance, business, finance or customer service.
• Familiarity with insurance claims, billing, coding, follow-up, or related tasks.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound calls with patients and insurance companies to resolve accounts.
• Verify insurance and perform account reviews and updates.
• Explain EOBs and status to patients; assist with policy verifications.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Communicate issues and opportunities for process improvements to management.
