Job summary

Harness IP & Pierce PLC seeks a detail-oriented Patent Assistant to support patent attorneys through the application process. The role involves prosecution support, managing deadlines, drafting documents, billing, and filing systems, with top-tier training on USPTO and WIPO efiling systems.

The position requires at least 3 years of related experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to learn new software. Hybrid in-office schedule is expected, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in patent support or law setting.
• Proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime if needed.
• Hybrid work: in-office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patent application documents and formal papers.
• Assist with responses to U.S. Office Actions.
• Proofread and file patent applications and Office Action responses.
• Correspond with Foreign Associate Counsel.
• Handle incoming mail and email and track deadlines.
• Manage client databases and status updates.
• Respond to client inquiries.
• Assist with client billing and use firm applications.
