Protouch Staffing seeks a Patent Attorney with an Electrical Engineering or Physics background to join a veteran IP law firm in Cincinnati. The role focuses on electrical patent preparation and prosecution, with opportunities to engage in client meetings and Examiner interviews.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, a technical degree in EE or physics, and is admitted to the USPTO and/or a state bar. The position is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical field.
• Admission to the USPTO and/or a state bar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patent applications and prosecute before USPTO and foreign offices.
• Evaluate and respond to patent office actions in the U.S. and internationally.
• Draft legal opinions related to intellectual property matters.
• Participate in client meetings and Patent Examiner interviews.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Gain exposure to patent litigation and related IP projects.
