Job summary

GBH in Brighton, MA is seeking a part-time Assistant Editor to support post-production for OutPost and clients. The role involves ingesting and editing media, prepping assets, and managing workflows across Avid Nexus, Edit Share, and related systems.

This is a local 1400 union, hybrid on-site work required. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2–3 years in production/post production, with strong organization, communication, and ability to work under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2–3 years in production/post‑production.
• Strong knowledge of post‑production workflows and remote edit systems.
• Experience with Avid Nexus, Edit Share and media management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support post-production by organizing media, ingesting, grouping, syncing and assemblies.
• Coordinate and guide remote workflows with OutPost and GBH systems.
• On-board producers and editors into GBH remote edit systems.
• Coordinate media transfer from producers and archiving with on/off-site teams.
• Prepare media for editors and deliver outputs via distribution systems.
• Assemble subtitles for translations.
• Assist with script-based editing and additional duties as assigned.
