Job summary

Interiors by Design is seeking a highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper for a part-time, hybrid role in the Maryland area. The candidate will manage A/R and A/P, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and year-end tasks, including 1099s and W-9s, using QuickBooks Desktop.

You'll coordinate with clients and staff, maintain financial records, and support office operations, with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and meeting deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
• Strong understanding of A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, and general bookkeeping practices.
• Experience with year-end closing procedures, including 1099 and W-9 processing.
• Experience with AIA/SOV billing and federal government billing systems preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Process invoicing, payments, collections, and client interactions.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
• Support year-end activities including 1099s and W-9s.
• Handle AIA/SOV billing and federal contract billing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop.
