Job summary

Roosevelt University in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Coach, Baseball, to support the head coach with leadership, practice planning, and compliance with NCAA and GLIAC rules.

This part-time, exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree, coaching experience, strong organization and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The assistant will work nights and weekends and travel with the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior coaching/participation experience in college athletics or related role.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in relationships and tasks.
• Commitment to Roosevelt’s values and mission; professional demeanor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Aid the head coach in planning and supervising practices and competitions, providing real-time feedback to student-athletes.
• Support post-practice assessments and contribute to game-day preparation and strategy.
• Assist with other team-related functions as needed.
