Roosevelt University is seeking an Athletic Admission Counselor to recruit first-year and transfer student-athletes and guide them through the application and enrollment process.
You will work closely with the athletic division, attend coaches meetings, and collaborate with Financial Aid and Academic Advising to support student-athletes’ success. The hybrid role requires on-campus presence at our Chicago campus three days per week.

If so, Roosevelt University is seeking an Athletic Admission Counselor who will help us to identify and recruit the next class of Roosevelt Lakers. Roosevelt University has a social justice foundation, and our admissions team strives towards equity and creating access for students of all backgrounds. This position reports to the Director of First-Year Admission. This is a full-time, hybrid position based at our Chicago campus with the expectation that the Counselor will be on campus 3 days per week depending on the time of year. The Athletic Admission Counselor’s primary responsibility is to guide first-year and transfer student athletes and families through the application and enrollment process, which includes meeting with prospective student athletes, families and school partners to assess academic eligibility, discuss academic offerings and inform individuals of the Roosevelt student experience. The Athletic Admission Counselor will work closely with the athletic division and attend all coaches/athletics meetings along with regular admission and enrollment management meetings. The individual will work directly with coaches on official prospective student athlete visits and events and facilitate follow ups with recruits to apply for admission.
The Athletic Admission Counselor will also serve as an initial point of contact for post-admission processes to support other offices such as Financial Aid Services, Academic Advising, or other student support services offices. Roosevelt University is a private, nonsectarian community of educators, scholars, artists, and learners committed to academic, creative, and service excellence, located in the heart of downtown Chicago on the magnificent Michigan Avenue. Roosevelt is Chicago’s only NCAA Division II program and competes as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference ( GLIAC ).
In addition to its 18 NCAA programs, the athletic department supports competitive Esports (Esports Collegiate Conference), men’s hockey (American Club Hockey Association Division I and II), men’s and women’s bowling (United States Bowling Congress), cheerleading (National Cheer Association) and dance (National Dance Alliance) teams participating at the club level. Physical Requirements: ability to walk, stand for periods of time, carry materials and supplies for events and college fairs, some moderate pushing and pulling may be required from time to time.
The salary range for this position is $54,000-$56,000
