Job summary

Beauty Quest Group is seeking a Packaging Engineer to support new product development and sourcing in the personal care category from its Stamford, CT operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5+ years of experience in packaging, sourcing, or a related role within manufacturing (personal care, cosmetics, or CPG preferred).
• Experience with aerosol packaging systems strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and evaluate technical drawings and packaging specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for supplier and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and validate technical specifications for packaging components, including bottles, closures, labels, and aerosol systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, quality, and sales teams to support new product development and launches.
• Manage packaging aspects of new product introductions (NPI), ensuring timelines, specifications, and cost targets are met.
• Source and engage suppliers for packaging components; request and evaluate quotes, samples, and lead times.
• Develop and maintain cost estimates and pricing comparisons for packaging materials.
• Ensure packaging meets customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and alternative materials without compromising quality or performance.
• Support troubleshooting of packaging-related issues during development and production.
• Maintain accurate documentation of specifications, supplier communications, and project updates.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
