Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Packaging Engineer on a contract (3-6 months) with potential for permanent, hybrid work (3x onsite) in New York. Lead packaging development milestones, ensure quality and cost targets while collaborating with Marketing, Design, and Production teams to deliver packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in packaging development, color matching and material selection, with ability to read drawings and perform homologation testing, and to drive cross-functional

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in packaging development.
• Experience in packaging color matching.
• Understanding of material selection.
• Ability to read technical drawings and review AW files.
• Knowledge of homologation testing procedures.
• Self-starter comfortable with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own all technical milestones of Packaging Development, including stock packaging selection and drawing validation, homologation and compatibility testing.
• Manage packaging development timelines with project managers and vendors to meet milestones and launches.
• Write and create packaging specifications, fill and assembly instructions, and pre-bill of material documents.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Design and Product Innovation to select and develop packaging within time and cost constraints.
• Manage external relationships with component vendors and finished goods fillers/subcontractors to ensure project progress.
