Job summary

The University of Nebraska System is seeking an Oracle System Administrator L2/L1 to design, implement, and maintain Nebraska's student information systems. This full-time, hybrid role supports on-site work at Lincoln, Omaha, or Kearney campuses as needed.

Required are a IT-related degree and several years in enterprise software; strong Linux/Windows, DevOps scripting, and Oracle skills are essential. NU ITS offers a flexible schedule under hybrid guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT related field.
• 3+ years of enterprise software experience (L1) or 5+ years (L2).
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• DevOps scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous availability of NeSIS, including Oracle software and servers.
• Design and implement enterprise system architecture and upgrades.
• Monitor performance, capacity and uptime; adhere to SLAs in a 24x7 environment.
• Lead complex software design and development projects with independent judgment.
