Job summary

Nebraska is seeking an Oracle System Administrator to ensure continuous availability of the NeSIS system and Oracle servers. You will design and implement enterprise architecture, apply patches, monitor performance, and maintain 24x7 operations in a university setting.

The role requires a bachelor's in IT, with 3 years (L1) or 5 years (L2) of experience, and strong Linux/Windows, DevOps scripting, and SQL tuning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT related field (or equivalent)
• Three years of experience with enterprise level software or equivalent for L1
• Five years of experience with enterprise level software or equivalent for L2
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous availability of NeSIS and Oracle servers
• Design and implement enterprise system architecture
• Apply patches and upgrades to systems
• Monitor performance, capacity, and uptime to meet SLAs
• Lead complex software design projects and provide technical project leadership
