Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a full-stack software developer in Atlanta for building decision-support systems in the railroad domain. The role involves designing, implementing, and deploying analytics-enabled applications with Java and modern web tech.

You will translate complex business challenges into scalable solutions, work across requirements, model development, and deployment, and support production systems. Hybrid work is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of full-stack development experience with Java and modern web tech.
• Experience delivering decision-support systems using operations research methods.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and related technologies.
• Strong SQL skills and data-driven UI/visualization experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement web-based transportation planning systems.
• Develop analytical solutions for network planning and performance.
• Create intuitive user interfaces and data visualizations for decision-making.
• Design and maintain ETL processes and data repositories.
• Provide production support and continuous enhancement of apps.
• Collaborate with railroad operations teams and developers to improve processes.
