Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring an Autonomous Operations - Full-Stack Developer to join the Technology Solutions Group in Atlanta. You will develop and enhance a Java-based backend (Spring) and complete frontend work in React, while integrating with an AGV software platform and analytics tools.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, understand existing architecture, and propose practical improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in software engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional Java experience.
• 2+ years of frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React or Angular frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience in a multi-contributor environment using GitHub Flow.
• Experience with message-driven, publish-subscribe systems (NATS, Redis).
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve a Java-based application (Spring).
• Design backend capabilities and database interactions.
• Carry features to complete frontend implementation (React).
• Learn system architecture and implement improvements end-to-end.
• Collaborate with developers using GitHub Flow.
• Troubleshoot defects and support production use.
• Support Python & React analytics tools in manufacturing space.
