Job summary

Quorum Software seeks a Consultant - Functional to join a hybrid team in Houston or Dallas. You will gather business and technical requirements, work in small teams, and participate in configuration, testing, and rollout of our financial software.

Travel up to 50% and collaboration with engineering are core to the role. The ideal candidate brings programming experience (SQL, C++/C#, Java, VB), a solid systems view, and leadership capabilities, with a motivation to grow within the oil & gas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related disciplines with an analytical component.
• Willing to travel up to 50% during the work week.
• Proficient in programming: SQL, C++, C#, Java, VB or similar.
• Strong systems-architecture understanding.
• Proven leadership and project-management capabilities.
• Oil & gas industry interest or experience.
• Entrepreneurial drive and client relationship development.
• Willingness to collaborate with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with Clients daily to obtain business and technical specifications for next-gen software solutions.
• Participate in small project teams on established activities or as part of larger projects.
• Assist in configuration, enhancement, and testing phases for software development and implementation.
• Ensure successful completion of personal and team deliverables.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate release software into client environments.
• Provide guidance and mentoring for less experienced consultants.
• Contribute to company-building activities (recruiting, internal training).
• Other duties as assigned.
