Responsibilities

• Prep and verify Patient Assessment specimens for the lab, labeling at the bedside in front of the patient.
• Chart vitals, intake, and response to treatment so the next Occupational Therapist inherits a clean clinical picture.
• De-escalate agitated patients with presence and voice before reaching for restraints.
• Mentor 3-month Occupational Therapist residents through their first solo Patient Assessment procedures.
• Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and rounds.
• Promote a collaborative, respectful, and high-performing clinical culture.
• Float between triage and treatment as census swings across the Bellevue, NE shift.
