OBGYN 2 provider group is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy OB/GYN practice in a hybrid administrative and clinical role. This position supports front office operations while providing clinical assistance when needed.

The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, detail oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Proficiency with Athenahealth (Athena EMR) and prior OB/GYN experience are required.

Qualifications

• OBGYN experience is required.
• Proficiency with Athenahealth (Athena EMR) is required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments.
• Collect copayments and process patient payments accurately.
• Manage provider schedules, coordinate patient appointments, and assist with daily patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete filing and documentation promptly.
• Welcome and assist patients with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure smooth front desk operations.
• Provide clinical support to providers as needed, including Medical Assistant duties.
• Perform other duties to support overall operations of the practice.
