Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a System Engineer 2 in NYC with strong full stack and applied AI experience. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration (2 days/week) with remote work to deliver AI-powered products across Advertising Technology.

You will own end-to-end features, design scalable backend services, and craft AI integrations from concept to production with a focus on security, performance, and usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering with full stack experience.
• Experience delivering customer-facing or internal enterprise applications to production.
• Experience integrating foundation models, agents, and AI into production software.

Responsibilities

• Full stack AI product development: design, code, test, deploy, and operate AI-enabled applications.
• Build frontend experiences, backend services, APIs, data access, and AI orchestration.
• Design prompts, model routing, evaluation, and guardrails for reliable business use.
• Collaborate with Ad Sales, Operations, Product, Data, and Engineering teams.
• Develop scalable backend services, enterprise API integrations, and cloud deployments.
