Job summary

Japanese Bank is seeking an Application Developer to support development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal and client-facing business applications. The role focuses on Microsoft technologies, SQL databases, and modern web frameworks within a collaborative financial services environment.

The candidate will develop and support applications, manage deployments, and create documentation, while engaging with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of application development experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Angular and/or React, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Visual Studio, PowerShell, Salesforce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internally developed and third-party applications.
• Provide support for Microsoft SQL Server databases and related applications.
• Coordinate and perform application change management and deployment activities.
• Support business users and IT teams in understanding application functionality and system design.
• Assist end users with software utilization and troubleshooting.
• Participate in development, enhancement, and migration projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and procedures.
• Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
