Job summary

People Inc. seeks a Manager, Data Operations to lead the design, reliability, and day-to-day execution of core data pipelines and analytics infrastructure. You will directly manage a team of Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers, setting technical direction and aligning with Analytics, Product, and Technology.

The role blends hands-on leadership with people management, ensuring scalable, trusted data platforms and effective collaboration across teams in a hybrid NYC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years building and optimizing data pipelines.
• 5+ years SQL with Hive/BigQuery experience.
• 2+ years leading data/analytics teams or end-to-end delivery.
• Proven leadership and strong cross-functional communication.
• Experience with dbt and modern data orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, reliability, and scalability of ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines.
• Oversee development and maintenance of clean, tested data models and dbt projects.
• Partner with Governance and Security on lineage, metadata, and access controls.
• Translate business priorities into technical roadmaps for Analytics, Product, and Tech.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices in analytics workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions for reporting.
