Westinghouse Electric Company LLC through WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Setpoint and Control Systems Engineer for a hybrid role in Warrendale, PA. You will support RTS/ESFAS setpoint uncertainty analyses and perform data analysis with experts across nuclear subsystems.

The position requires a Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering degree (Master’s with 10 years preferred) and knowledge of PWR systems, statistics, and MS Office. This is a contractor opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering (or Master’s with 10 years of experience).
• Knowledge of design and operation of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR).
• Experience with statistics and data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain uncertainty analysis using NRC-approved Westinghouse Setpoint Methodology (WSM) for AP1000 and other plants.
• Conduct statistical/data analyses to examine instrument drift and project performance.
• Address surveillance extensions in the setpoint uncertainty analysis.
• Scope and estimate the design-change impacts on existing designs.
• Support Project Management on schedule creation.
• Prepare clear reports for internal and external customers.
