Job summary

Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket is seeking a Primary Care and Cross-Coverage Hybrid Nurse Practitioner to lead a dedicated patient panel while also covering colleagues’ administrative tasks when they are out of the office.

You will provide autonomous, guideline-driven primary care and support cross-coverage to ensure continuity of care for underserved populations. This role is based in Thundermist’s Woonsocket clinic with some evenings.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• RI license to practice as NP in good standing
• 3+ years of post-graduate primary care experience
• Excellent oral and written communication with medical terminology
• Commitment to health equity and community health

Responsibilities

• Provide complete management of acute and subacute medical care for scheduled patients
• Deliver face-to-face primary care by appointment for an assigned panel
• Review and manage medical records
• Coordinate referred services (lab, specialty care, pharmacy, etc.)
• Exercise independent professional clinical judgement within guidelines
• Cross-cover clinical administrative tasks for colleagues out of the office
• Review documents, results, messages, and phone encounters in the EHR
• Participate in departmental and team meetings
• Help review and develop policies and clinical goals
