Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in outsourced nonprofit accounting, offering a hybrid environment and flexible schedules. We seek a dedicated Controller to guide multiple nonprofit clients, collaborating with boards, staff, and committees to strengthen financial processes.

Starting base salary is $100,000–$135,000 for a 35-hour week, with potential bonuses and a strong benefits package. CPA is a plus; bilingual skills and remote collaboration are welcome.

Qualifications

• Passionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–7+ years accounting experience
• Experience with remote environment preferred
• Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive
• Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
• Non-profit accounting/public accounting/consulting experience is a plus
• External audit experience is a plus
• CPA certification is a plus
• Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus
• Our part-time employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients

Responsibilities

• Transform nonprofit client financial departments to support their mission
• Financial reporting for management and Board decisions
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls and compliance
• Handle transactional activities including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting and data analysis
• Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
• Prepare for and manage annual audits
• Provide client and staff training opportunities
