Job summary

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Networking Engineer to support its distributed network infrastructure, including datacenter, wireless, switched Ethernet, and security systems. The role involves WAN/LAN management, troubleshooting, and implementing enterprise security measures.

Hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and two at home. Requires CCNA or equivalent experience, VMware, and strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, DNS, Exchange Online, SQL Server, Microsoft 365 and virtualization techniques.
• Experience with Windows Server, cloud technologies and current workstation OS versions.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and implement projects involving complex analysis and system modifications.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, VLAN, VoIP systems and network security principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor WAN/LAN network infrastructure for optimal communication across devices and applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related problems; install and maintain network hardware/software.
• Design, recommend and implement enterprise security solutions and plan capacity for digital services.
• Travel to other sites to provide service and inspections of network hardware.
