Job summary
The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) seeks a Networking Engineer to lead and support the district’s network infrastructure across data centers, wireless, and security layers. The role includes managing WAN/LAN, VPN, VoIP, and Exchange Online environments while aligning with disaster recovery and capacity plans.
ESSENTIAL knowledge covers Active Directory, Azure, DNS, and Microsoft 365 with virtualization experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- CCNA certification and VMware experience.
- Experience with LAN/WAN, VLAN, and VoIP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the Cuyahoga DD WAN/LAN network infrastructure for optimal functioning and communication.
- Install, maintain, and monitor network hardware and software.
- Design, implement, and test enterprise security solutions.
- Plan, implement, and maintain server and PC infrastructure locally and remotely.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online and Office 365.
- Provide documentation of configurations, maintenance plans, and changes.
