Job summary

Crypto.com is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex network and security issues across on-prem and AWS environments. You will manage FortiGate, Cisco ASA, and Akamai WAF while handling Arista, Cisco, and F5 infrastructure.

You will collaborate with DevOps to implement Infrastructure as Code, drive automation, and support live cutovers with after-hours escalation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or information systems.
• Hands-on experience in production networks across on-prem and AWS environments.
• Experience with firewall configuration, routing, switching, network security, and incident response.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IPsec, HSRP, QoS.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud networking (AWS VPC, Direct Connect).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize incidents, and communicate during operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as Level 3 escalation point for complex network infrastructure, routing, and security issues (on-prem and AWS).
• Maintain and optimize multi-vendor security and perimeter solutions (FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Akamai WAF).
• Manage core network infrastructure (Arista switches, Cisco routers, F5 LTM/GTM, Infoblox).
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation and operational SOPs.
• Bridge infrastructure and DevOps with IaC to automate network deployments and security workflows.
• Research and apply automation/AI tools for security orchestration and network tasks.
• Provide non-office hour escalation support during major live cutovers or emergencies.
