Akamai is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer in the United States to design, deploy, and operate our global server clusters, ensuring reliable performance for customers. You will travel to data centers up to 60% for hardware installs, diagnostics, and maintenance, coordinate with field technicians and partners, and triage tickets to meet SLA targets.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS or related field, 2 years' relevant experience, and hands-on knowledge of datacenter operations,

Qualifications

2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or its equivalent.
Datacenter operations and protocols, network technologies, Security concepts, Unix/Linux internals, distributed systems, and systems design.
Solid organizational skills with proven experience in scheduling and operational planning.
Willingness to travel up to 60% domestically within the U.S. and ability to undergo a USG Tier 3 background investigation.

Responsabilités

Design and deploy secure server clusters and diagnose hardware and network connectivity problems.
Facilitate critical infrastructure repairs and manage Akamai's hardware assets.
Coordinate efforts among field technicians, external partners and internal cross-functional teams to ensure service quality.
Monitor, triage and resolve maintenance tickets and ensure adherence to SLA targets.
Maintain and exceed high SLA targets ensuring robust system uptime and performance.
Lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
