LOGIX Fiber Networks is seeking a Network Engineering Manager in a hybrid, Dallas-based role to oversee day-to-day operations, design, and capacity planning for our fiber optic/transport network. You will guide CapEx initiatives, act as a senior escalation point, and deliver data-driven performance and capacity reports to leadership.

Ideal candidate brings deep optical engineering expertise, 5+ years in network operations with leadership experience, and CCNP/JNCIP certs are a major plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Typically 5+ years in network operations.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Professional certifications (CCNP, JNCIP) are a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage all Network Engineering projects.
• Set timeframes for major engineering projects including updates and migrations.
• Maintain weekly network capacity reports.
• Evaluate and test new technologies and present recommendations to upper management.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and analytics with staff.
• Provide departmental reports to upper management as needed.
• Develop budgets and cost-benefit analyses for network projects.
• Assist in current and future optical network designs.
• Communicate departmental objectives clearly to the group.
• Oversee change management processes in Network Engineering.
• Manage lab testing projects and supporting documentation.
• Ensure adherence to change management procedures.
