Job summary

JSI is seeking a Manager, Network Engineering for the BBIP team in Lubbock, TX. Lead a small team delivering fiber access and DWDM/optical transport engineering for ISPs, owning performance, utilization, and delivery quality.

You will serve as a senior technical resource on client engagements and act as a client-facing advisor for fiber access and optical transport strategies, while developing engineers and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in fiber access or DWDM/optical transport engineering, plus consulting or client-facing capacity.
• 2+ years of team leadership or people-management experience.
• Knowledge of fiber access and/or DWDM/optical transport technologies and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage Engineers delivering fiber access and DWDM/optical transport engineering and consulting work.
• Own team-level performance, utilization, and project margins.
• Review and approve engineering designs and outputs; mentor staff.
• Serve as lead engineer or senior technical resource on client engagements.
