Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a North Dallas area telecom to hire a Network Architect – Fiber & Optical Transport. You will design transport circuits, analyze capacity, and develop routing solutions for fiber-based services, collaborating with engineering, operations, construction, provisioning, and project management teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecom, strong fiber and transport knowledge, and hands-on experience with DWDM/Ethernet.

Qualifications

5+ years in telecommunications or related field.
Strong fiber optic & transport technology knowledge.
Experience with Ethernet, Layer 1/2, VLANs, optics, IP addressing.
Ability to read and create network diagrams, route maps, and BOMs.
Experience with equipment from Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Fujitsu, SmartOptics.
Experience with network management tools such as 3-GIS, NetBrain, SolarWinds.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Willing to work full-time onsite in Allen, TX.

Responsibilities

Design DWDM, Ethernet, and fiber transport circuits.
Analyze capacity, demand, and upcoming service requirements.
Develop network routes and connectivity across fiber and transport environments.
Select equipment and assign network resources for delivery.
Create and maintain network diagrams, engineering docs, and BOMs.
Evaluate new service requests for scalable delivery solutions.
Identify constraints, data gaps, and potential risks.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, provisioning, and PM teams.
