Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an experienced network engineer to install, configure, and integrate advanced network technologies and to support design and debugging efforts with development teams. The role involves addressing complex telecom issues, capacity planning, and documentation to meet standards.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of related work experience, a related bachelor's degree, and CCNA/CCNP/CCDP certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• CCNA, CCNP, or CCDP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and integrates new network technologies; conducts pilots and ensures installations meet standards.
• Provides advanced network design and debugging services to development teams; works with developers on secure external connections.
• Delivers advanced telecom network services for complex issues; identifies failing components.
• Maintains and monitors network performance; identifies issues and trends; implements improvements; documents telecom network.
• Performs capacity planning; monitors capacity metrics; initiates actions to prevent degradation.
• Trains and mentors staff; conducts formal training; recommends training vendors; troubleshoots complex issues.
• Thoroughly understands and complies with IT and Information Security policies.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
