Job summary

HMSA on Oahu is seeking an IT professional to maintain and enhance HMSA's network infrastructure within a hybrid work environment. You will support and monitor complex networks, coordinate with vendors, and provide on-call after-hours assistance as needed.

The role requires strong Cisco/Aruba knowledge, firewall and VPN expertise, scripting capability, and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. This is a full-time exempt position based on the HMSA Network Team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical institute degree, certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Three years of relevant IT work experience.
• Demonstrates expertise in multiple technologies (Cisco/Aruba, load balancers, next-gen firewalls, VPN, data center, cloud, scripting).
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of HMSA's network infrastructure and plan enhancements.
• Implement, maintain and upgrade HMSA network infrastructure.
• Configure management tools and document procedures.
• Operate network monitoring tools and analyze capacity and growth.
• Perform packet captures and review logs across locations.
• Maintain security per audits and handle patches for vulnerabilities.
• Provide after-hours support and on-call for critical incidents.
