Job summary

PathGroup in Overland Park, KS, seeks a Network Engineer to ensure stability of its in-house voice, data, video and wireless networks. You will analyze, plan, design and monitor LANs/WANs and related hardware and software including VPNs and security controls.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on networking experience, a related Bachelor's degree, and Cisco/Meraki expertise. You will support on-call rotation and ensure PHI compliance.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of hands-on networking experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or applicable education/experience.
• Cisco, Meraki experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy LANs, WANs and wireless networks including servers, routers, switches and other hardware.
• Configure networks to ensure reliable and optimal operation for PathGroup objectives.
• Ensure upgrades of network hardware and software are performed timely.
• Work to ensure PHI is maintained securely.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Maintain network performance history and provide performance reports.
• Collaborate with IT to assess long-term network capacity needs.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration and service records.
• Establish and maintain VPN connections and network security solutions.
• Participate in on-call technical support rotation and vendor negotiations.
